Returns and Refunds Policy

At Petite Karité, we want you to be happy with your purchase. If you need to return an item or have a concern about a product, please contact us and we will do our best to help.

This policy applies to purchases made through www.petitekarite.com and does not affect your statutory consumer rights.

1. Change of Mind

If you change your mind about an online purchase, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, without giving a reason, subject to applicable legal exceptions.

To exercise your right to cancel, please notify us in writing within this period using our contact details below.

Once you have notified us, you must return the goods within a further 14 days.

Returned products must be handled with reasonable care. You may be responsible for any reduction in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the product.

2. Skincare, Body Care and Hygiene Products

For health protection and hygiene reasons, sealed products that are not suitable for return once opened cannot be returned under the change-of-mind cancellation right if their seals have been broken after delivery.

This may apply to products such as body wash, soaps, shea butter and other personal-care products, depending on their packaging and circumstances.

Please note: This restriction does not remove your rights if a product is faulty, damaged or not as described.

If a product remains sealed and eligible for return, please contact us before sending it back.

3. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

We take care to ensure that your order reaches you in good condition. If you receive a damaged, faulty or incorrect product, please contact us as soon as possible.

Please include:

• Your order number.

• A description of the issue.

• Photographs of the product and packaging, where relevant.

We will assess the issue and explain the next steps. Where a return is appropriate, we will provide instructions and cover reasonable return costs for faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied items.

Depending on the circumstances and your legal rights, you may be entitled to a refund, replacement or another appropriate remedy.

Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights under applicable consumer law.

4. How to Return an Item

To request a return:

1. Contact us using the contact form with your order number and reason for return.

2. Wait for our return instructions before sending your item.

3. Package the item securely and include any relevant order information.

4. Use a tracked delivery service where possible and retain your proof of postage.

Unless the item is faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied, you will normally be responsible for the cost of returning an unwanted item, provided this has been made clear before purchase

Please do not send returns to an address that has not been confirmed by our customer service team.

5. Refunds

Once we receive your returned item, or receive evidence that you have sent it back where the law requires, we will process any refund due in accordance with applicable consumer law.

For eligible cancellations, refunds will include the standard delivery charge originally paid, where required by law. Any additional amount paid for premium or express delivery may be excluded.

Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method, unless otherwise agreed with you.

We will not charge a refund administration fee.

6. Exchanges

If you would prefer a different product, please contact us to discuss the available options.

Exchanges are subject to product availability and do not affect your statutory rights.

7. Orders That Have Not Yet Been Dispatched

If you wish to cancel an order before it has been dispatched, please contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to stop the order and arrange a refund if it has not already been processed or dispatched.

If your order has already been dispatched, the usual cancellation and return procedures may apply.
